Taboo II

Taboo II the family journey
Taboo II continues the story of the original Taboo (1980), exploring the taboo subject of familial relationships and forbidden desires. The film picks up with Barbara (played by Kay Parker), the mother from the first film, as she deals with her son’s departure from the nest.

The story introduces new characters, from the McBride family. We recognize Paul’s frisky girlfriend from the first film, being hit on by her older brother. Together they encounter Barbara, who missing her son, is enthralled by his flirtatious best friend. He agrees to drop by her house later. There he discovers Barbara’s nympho friend Pegg has warmed her up with massage oils. She encourages the two to get it on, saying, “Doesn’t he remind you of Paul?” Doesn’t his cock remind you of Paul’s?” Junior, finding out about the incestuous relationship, is only too eager to fuck his best friend’s hot mom.
As with the original, Taboo II is known for its narrative-driven approach, which was somewhat unusual for adult films of the time. The film attempts to blend explicit content with a story line that explores the emotional and psychological consequences of its characters’ actions. Junior with his own incestuous desire, for his sister, tells his girlfriend who is her best friend. His idea is to let his girlfriend seduce his little sis, and slip himself in, once she is too worked up to stop. They pull it off and she finds out that it isn’t such a big deal because Paul had been fucking his mom while he was seeing her too.
Taboo II (1982), explores more than this brother sister relationship. It looks at family dynamics as a whole, duties, relationships, secrets and desires. Then it puts them all together and tosses the salad to see what lands on top. The film, directed by Kirdy Stevens, continued to explore taboo themes of familial relationships, which both fascinated and disturbed viewers. Audience reactions were deeply polarized.
Culturally, the Taboo series, including Taboo II, became a reference point for discussions on taboo subjects in film and popular culture. It inspired countless imitations and sequels, cementing its legacy in the adult film genre. While its themes remain controversial, Taboo II is remembered for pushing boundaries and challenging societal norms, leaving an indelible mark on the history of adult cinema.
